Sri Sai Temple in Pleasanton, California is a volunteer-run, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit shrine dedicated solely to Shirdi Sai Baba. It grew out of an earlier Bay Area Sai gathering and today includes recreations of Dwarakamai, Gurusthan, and Chavadi, the sites associated with Sai Baba's life in Shirdi, so devotees can experience that atmosphere without traveling to India. The temple describes its long-term goal as building a full-fledged "Bay Area Shirdi" for worship, culture, and charitable activity.
