Moreshwar Pardhan

Moreshwar W. Pradhan of Bombay first heard of Baba in May 1910, when Nanasaheb Chandorkar described Baba's power and kindness to a group of his relatives. The very next day more than ten of them set out for Shirdi. Pradhan was not with them, and he had told his mother he doubted that Baba was a real saint.

When the family returned, Pradhan borrowed Baba's picture and Das Ganu's book Bhakta Leelamrit, which describes Baba's life. As he read the chapter on Baba aloud to his wife, his doubts melted away completely, and he became a firm believer. His wife's faith became even stronger than his.

The Pradhans became devoted followers and visited Shirdi as soon as family circumstances allowed. The Satcharitra mentions Pradhan among the Bombay devotees who experienced Baba's protection in their homes.
