History of the temple

Temple History;The land for the beautiful Shirdi Sai Baba temple was allotted in the year 1989.The founder member of the temple Late Shri I P Mehta played a vital role in acquiring the land. He along


with his colleagues was also instrumental for getting the sacred idol of Shirdi Sai Baba which is currently worshipped at the temple. The idol was originally brought from Jaipur. Thereafter it was taken to Shirdi for due worship & pooja and finally brought to Chandigarh. The Swaroop Sthapna ceremony was conducted on 6th December 1995.Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi, is the authorised body to control and manage the day-to-day activities at the Shri Saibaba Samadhi Temple.The popular Sai Mandir in sector 29 chandigarh is nowadays abuzz with activity and glittering lightening as the one hundredth anniversary of the sage arrives. The devotees are seen joining the evening aarti even in larger numbers.The Sai Mandir, Sector 29 chandigarh is first to go live with the daily aarti performed in the mandir. The devotees shall now be in touch with their faith even on the go, while away from town or while having to stay late in the office.The temples, which are normally recognized by the age old traditions are blending the modern technologies into their holy recipes. The digital India has found its way into temples, with the Sai Mandir leading the way, others may soon follow.
